Weekend Adventure: Irvine Spectrum Center

We had another beautiful weekend here in SoCal. We spent our days soaking up the sun and had the rare nighttime adventure. We went to the Irvine Spectrum Center. It is an awesome outdoor shopping area with rides, restaurants, and lots of great shopping. We had dinner at Chipotle (yummy, yummy) and went on a carousel ride.

Dinner was great, the carousel was fun, but something bigger was calling this girl's name. Something more dangerous. Something that both of her parents are terrified of: the ferris wheel.

Since I was still green from the carousel, JD volunteered to take our girl up. He's my brave man.

At one point, I could hear squeals of delight as their cage whizzed by. I called JD's cellphone and he didn't sound so good. He said going up was the worst idea ever. He spent the ride with his head down and hanging on to the railing for dear life, but Beatrice had a blast.

Everyone survived and Beatrice can't wait to go back up. It was after 10 when we got home and both girls were so exhausted, they slept past 8:30 this morning. It was a great night! We can't wait to go back.
